DENVER – The University of Denver women's lacrosse team was chosen to win the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation in the 2008 preseason coaches' poll, the MPSF released today.
The Pioneers received 24 points, including four of the six votes for first place. Last year's MPSF Tournament champion Stanford was second with 20 points, including one first place vote. Oregon was third with 17 points and one first-place vote. California (15 points), UC Davis (9) and Saint Mary's (5) rounded out the poll.
