Crystal Weigle, a McIntosh graduate playing lacrosse for the University of Georgia’s women’s team, will bring her teammates to Peachtree City’s Meade Field on Saturday, Jan. 19 for a lacrosse clinic. It is a way to introduce girls to the sport, which is rising in popularity all over the south, and also a way for Weigle to help give back to a lacrosse community that she adores.
“I really want to give back to all of the coaches and parents who have coached and encouraged me over the years,” said Weigle. “Bringing opportunities like this to Peachtree City will hopefully grow the sport and I hope getting to meet the UGA players and coaches will inspire more girls to continue to play in college. For girls who are just beginning, it is a fantastic opportunity to learn a little bit more about lacrosse and improve their skills.”
