Lacrosse made it onto TV in Europe for the first time in 2007 when EuroSport a European wide Satellite TV Sports Channel picked up the Versus coverage of the NLL Game of the Week.
Eurosport is available in 10,000,000 homes throughout Europe so this was fantastic for lacrosse in Europe as people could actually see how the gme is played at the Top Level.
I don't understand how players who play for free or at best expenses in MSL/WLA and risk the same injuries can't come to an agreement to play in the NLL.
This is a LOSE - LOSE situation for NLL & the Players, the Franchise owners aren't dependent on the NLL for their sole income so, unfortunately they may well pull the plug on the NLL.
Not just for 2008 Season but the NLL may be DEAD.
RIP NLL - it was fun to watch while it lasted.
The biggest losers in all of this are the fans who grew to love their local team, Toronto, Colorado, Buffalo, Rochester, Philly as well as the Expansion teams New York, Edmonton, Minnesota & Chicago.
They've done their part by supporting the Team and now there is no season.
Sad Day for Lacrosse.
