the rule is stupid... they just want to have each team to actually have a chance... why should it be equal if your team sucks... it forces the good team who is used to running plays in to stupid decisions because of the shot clock... i think i made my point here when I say the rule should be taken out...

The shot clock is good for the fans. It makes the game more exciting. I like with the MLL. I dont think it belongs anywhere else.

no shot clock, that goes for all leagues, it takes away from the set plays. If you worried about the game being boring take it into your own hands and make something happen. Look at basketball, some teams run the priceton style offense, and stand around looking for an open shot as the shot clock continues to count down, aka stalling in most situations. You'd get teams doing the same thing in lax. You'd still have the teams working it around, as the clock goes down looking for the open shot. It'd be the same game, just with worse shot being taken just so the team is not penalized for a shot clock violation, or as many coaches suspect, teams rolling the ball out of bounds to avoid risking a bad shot resulting in a fast break. its not my best argument against the shot clock, but it'll do for now.

Yeah , we talked about this last weekend. I think 1 min 30 secs would be good. It keeps the other team from ragging the ball which is a pathetic way to play. Keep on forcing to take shots.

Maybe Not it Middle School or High School. But College needs one. I think it would be better to have a shot clock because you have to think faster an better. It is also more fun to watch when there is a shot clock going.

I have to say, I don't think a shot clock is really needed cuz lacrosse is probably the most fast paced sport i know. If you think this is boring, try playing baseball, if you have a good pitcher, you could be in the field just looking at the catcher and the pitcher playing catch. I really wouldn't mind a shot clock that much being an attackman who's quick. But if it's because of getting bored or annoyed cuz you can't get the ball, do something about it! If the middies on the other team are not really going for the cage and playing keep-away, you don't just watch them, you try to get the ball.

A shot clock isn't need. Thats the thing about lacrosse that makes it different. You can play it at whatever speed is suiting your team at that moment.

I have to say you might get fewer goalies, as i can see the number of shots a goalie facing increasing as stated people will be rushed and just fire shots in. Defence will suffer as depending on how many middie lines you have (our league your lucky if you have 2 lines (read 3 subs)), as middies get tired they will not come back quickly, which i don't know about over there but happens alot here at the moment.

How many shots do your goalies face now?
