There is an article up on Inside Lacrosse about how the '09 rule change might not go into effect, and other rules could possibly be made. What do you all think of the old stick change proposal? I belive they should not change it, the hold difference is very subtle with a wide vs. pinched head, if you know how to string. They should just concentrate on checking pocket depth and possibly shortening the offest limit? I think that is playing a huge role in how the ball isn't coming out. I know that the ball would come out of my old brine oz easier than my other sticks even though I pinched it and had a high hold, soft mesh pocket in it. Discuss.

Nothing much to discuss, because almost everyone hates this rule. So everyone would be saying the same thing. Good!

i like how they are making rules to make it so a players skill is measured by the player and not the stick. i do think they went a little overboard though and shouldnt have that many regulations.

the rule is in effect because sticks are getting so pinched and deep that defense is almost useless because they can't get the ball out

Not really, because if a defender is smart, they dont use just stick. You use ur body, and its not useless. I dont want it to be easy for me.

well their is still a rule for pinched heads and if u would actually play defense and HIT some one the pinched head is useless

well i am almost positve the 09' rule has been revised and overruled by the 10' rule which IMHO is even worse but i hate this rule and so do all the lax companies and insider i know said they might boycott making heads unless the rule is null and void because it is going to cost them so much money to do it.
