clamp the ball and hit him instead, spin around until you find the opening not to long though, then roll the ball out and scoop it up. that is what i do

Step aside and put them on their butt. Just put your hand on their head when they rush and make them eat dirt. You might get called, you might not, but even if you do they won't try it again. And if you do step aside and they clamp instead of rush, just shove your stick at their head(lacrosse head, not body) to knock it out or prevent them from raking

i just recently swithed to face-off mid, and i like getting the clamp, and then rake it to the side while i box out the other guy. that really works for me.

I'm constantly being beat on the clamp. Are their any good drills or Tech which would improve my clamping speed?

When they clamp try putting your stock on top of theirs and box them out. Today at fall ball I won twice by doing that.

you could try an under
just make sure you force the ball under his stick real quickly and powerfully

also to improve wrist speed (for a clamp)
do 100 wrist curls with a 5 lb. weight each day with bith wrists

yeah, our faceoff guy is a drummer.
wrist speed is crucial, getting a good jump off the whistle(not timing it..but reaction time after it) is crucial also.
practice clamping your stick with your eyes closed when a friend is just blowing a whistle or something.

and one last drill i saw Duke Lacrosse do (obviously not last season) when i went to the Duke/UNC game they put a ball down(like all of their faceoff guys) and when the coach blew a whistle they picked upthe stick, over the ball..tapped the ground and put it back to where they started. i guess it helps hand/wrist speed/cordination.

a few guys on my team like to push shoulders into opponents(slow clamps) and if you can start lower than them and get the clamp they'll be pushing down on you(which isnt peasent) but right after you clamp do like football running backs are taught, keep your legs moving and stand up into them, then clear the ball out.
i'm not that small(and never did ingame faceoffs)but this worked against bigger guys often.
