Default Lifting Rumors

Well here i am going to post abunch of things that people say about lifting that are NOT true
feel free to add to the list

-athletes and bodybuilders should train the same way
-Cell-Tech contains massive amounts of anabolic steroids in each tub.
-Protein breaks down your kidney stones.
-Whey protein shrinks your penis.
-wieght lifting stunts your growth
-Whey protein is unhealthy because its not natural
-if you do deadlifts / squats when ur 18 ull have back problems when ur 30
-dont lift for 6 reps its dangerous lift for 20 that way u shape ur muscles
-doing lighter weights will etch in the definition.
- If you smell like ammoniac during training it means you a burning of your muscles (and you should stop train)
-athletes and bodybuilders should train the same way
- low reps are not healthy and high reps brings out definition (the most common, I hear it all the time)
- Bodybuilders have small ****s and have low selfesteem
-Creatine messes with your hormone levels
-ho needs to buy whey? Thats what an egg white is, right?
-potatoes are really good for gaining muscle
-protein is bad for your kidneys.
-athletes and bodybuilders should train the same way
-that guy/girls only that buff because they have a personal trainer
-When you get older all of your muscle will turn to fat
-whey is steriods
-creatine causes cancer
-Whey is bad for the kidneys
-you cant get big without roids
-Steroids shrink your penis.
-The more time you spend in the gym the bigger you get. So if you lift for 12 hours a day, you'll get bigger three times faster than lifting for 4 hours a day.
-Professional bodybuilders don't take steroids because they are tested hardcore for them.
-High repititions bring out definition. And the more reps you do per set the more defined you will be
-The key to loosing weight is to stop eating, and do a lot of cardio
-chests flyes are responsible for making th line between chest muscles
-sit ups burn fat round your waist line
-athletes and bodybuilders should train the same way
-Pro Bodybuilders gorge on whatever foods they want
-Body Builders are big but are weak
-Putting your pointer finger up when doing curls helps your bicep develop better
- it takes a scientific study to prove something right/wrong
- did i mention the one about athletes and bodybuilders training the same way


The 2 biggest ones i see on this board is
Higher reps makes you more defined and that athletes and bodybuilders should train the same way

-You should work your abs everyday.
-You can judge how good your workout was by how sore you are.
-If you do a lot of crunches, you will lose fat from your stomach.

A lot of people think that you should work out everyday also, but you usually need about 72 before working the same muscle. Also its good to switch up your workout.

dude is it true when you start lifting before your 17 or 18 you will stunt your growth and not be as tall/big as your supposed to be? I want to get big, but i dont want to be huge now and short when im older

If you do exercises which effect your back. And this is when you are in your growth spurt. Just stay away from exersices that effect your back and you will be fine.

If you workout with good form and a good program you will have no problem
