What I use(d):
- Creatine (used. Found that it did not work with me so I stopped using it)
- Glutamine (used. I have some left and will probably buy it in the future. I found it helped with the recovery time with me.)
- Protein (use and is probably key)
- Fish Oil (use and I have found that it worked really well. I had pain in my knees and whenever I used it, the pain decreased.)
- Nitric Oxide (have used on and off. I have a lot left and will probably finish it and see if it is worth it)
- Caffine pill (I have used it and found it worthless. My brother used it and said it worked for him)
- Multi Vitamin (use and is probably another key)
- Green Tea (used it as an antioxidant/weight loss support.)

If I find anything else that I use or have laying around, I will post that up.

This fall I started using basic Whey protein, which, from what I've read, is a good place to start, and a very important supplement as well. I think it is most important to research what exactly you're putting in your body, unlike Mr. Bonds. I actually called up my doctor and asked him what he thought, and he said protein was fine, not necessarily necessary, and to stay away from creatine, but he didn't seem to completely know what he was talking about there.

Whey protein is not necessary but it is helpful when working out. If you are working out and plan on using one, go for an Isolate. This is the best type of protein post workout. It is a more concentrated form of it and will digest faster which equals quicker delivery to your muscles. A good one that a lot of people use is Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey. It is really popular. I have yet to try it though.

Some people are hesitant in taking creatine because there is not a lot of research done on it. People assume it is bad but it is not. If you do decide to take it, I would recommend you cycle it (2 or 3 months on and 1 month off). If it works for you, it can be very useful.

If anyone has any questions on supplememnts, PM me and I will try to answer them as best as possible.

I agree with both things you said.

I have been using ON 100% Whey since fall, but I don't think I can comment yet on its effectiveness.

Just remember, when you stop using creatine, you're gonna lose a lot of weight because all the water that the creatine pumped into your muscles will go away. They will look less bloated and more defined. I'm gonna start taking it again pretty soon. I go 2 weeks on 1 week off.

To my understanding, creatine allows you to lift more. It does this by adding more water weight to your muscles. So therefore, your muscles look bigger. Once you stop using creatine, you lose the water weight and all you have left is the muscle mass.

It works for some people and some people have no results.

could you get something like creatine at a drugstore, or would you have to go online?
