I'm a freshman in highschool and I tried out for JV Lacrosse and didn't really make it but I'm still willing to try next year. I tried out for midi and didn't really like it so I was thinking about switching to defence but, do you have to be big and strong to be defence?

well, goalie ftw but if you know wat you are doing and you are aggressive you can still play defense. if you can shoot and pass(stickhandling stuff too) well then i would go for attack. and if you have good stickhandling and can run for a while w/o getting tired then keep playing middy. but be aggressive

If your a beast you can play D. You dont necessarily have to be big and strong to play d. Just be agressive, and a good leader.

if your a small defender it doesnt matter as long as you are smart on the field but aggressive and angry at the same time

middies what i would suggest unless u hate running. you get a lot of action then, on offense and defense.

I play defense, Its nice to be big and strong, because you can plow through kids. But if you have good stick checks(like you easily, clean sweep with rap checks and over head checks, but still have good slap and poke checks) your fine. You just need to constantly think, where to slide if needed, where the ball is going, the spot u r supposed to be in. If you can pick that up and understand that all, go with defense. Just listen to ur coaches, do not question what they say. If you just listen to them you will understand it when you apply that to the game.

I fixed the title. you spelt middie wrong. I learned the hard way when I spelt it wrong like 3 years ago. Then I just learnt to like it that way and it stuck.

If you have good endurance and are willing to run, play middie. They run up and down the field, score, and make big plays on defence. your involved in every part of the game. Faceoffs are fun aswell. I am my teams best FO guy so I always take them. Lots of fun.

I can't comment on defence as I only play it once in awhile. So we have plenty defencemen here that can help you out with that.

i think middie is the best place for people new to the game to start at. From there you experience both aspects of the game and can either work on your defense or your stick skills. But of course it takes some running
