I have played defence for about 2 years now and consider myself relitively advanced. Tonight I broke my head (Brine Matrix) with a vicious poke check. This is the third head I have broken this way and I am starting to get tired of it. Anyone got a suggestion for a stiff head that still has nice hold?

The Harrow H2, or if you can fnid an old X2. The proton is another good choice.

I would go with the H2, though it may look kind of weird, it performs very well.

harrow h2 or the harrow turrent(very stiff my friend had one) or teh stx x2 or stx proton power or proton

Like laxman and football said, the x2 is great. If you can find one, don't even think twice about getting it, just buy it. They are AMAZING.

I know a pinched head isn't the best for Defense but anyways.....the Brine Nitrous is a very stiff head that in my opinion would last...

go for a revo pro, revo, proton/proton+, clutch, x2, h2, turret or evo

Also you said a head with good "hold." It is not the head that controls the hold, it is more the stringing as well as how good of a stick handler you are.

the x2 was discontinued so it would be hard to find, of newer heads there is the wider heads Bionic, H2, Revo 2.0, Proton, Motive, Mojo and pinched heads like the clutch, revo pro and turret and also there is a warrior beginners stick calle the warpath, my little cousin bought one and it was real stiff and looked quite durable... you would have to buy the complete stick though, but it would still be cheaper than all the other heads I listed.

Proton power will get snapped on d. period. I have a REVO and I love it. It is the best D head I have ever used and it is relatively light too. I HIGHLY reccomend it.
