Difference between Heads & Shafts
Good afternoon to everyone
I work at a sports store who has just gotten big into the selling of Lacrosse equipment. I'm curious if I can get some input on equipment and such.
Shafts:
What the differences between shafts? I believe from what I know a defender looks to use a longer shaft than an attacker or middie. What does each position prefer to use and some reasoning behind it? What's the difference between Carbon, Aluminum, and the other shafts?
Heads:
What do players look for in heads? 2 things that I think I know are defenders look for a wider scoop at the top which makes it easier to grab balls from the ground, and attackers use heads with a narrow pocket for control.
Any info on what position players use mostly: defenders, middies, and attackers.
I know some of my info may be wrong and I'm sorry. Just trying to learn. And any info you can supply me or corrections of any sort please do. The more info I can get the better, I hate to lie to customers and get them the wrong equipment.
Thanks in advance

defenders use the longer 60 inch shafts. attackmen generally prefer light shafts for qiuck dodges and quick passing, middie generally like a bit heavier shafts, but still light, so they can lay a little pain whn there on defense. d poles generally like very strong shafts so they dont bend or snap since they are longer there easier to break, defense is a bit more preference, some like haevy shafts for hard poke checks while some like very light shafts so its easier to control. aluminum is generally the shafts most complete sticks come with. they are the least durable/strong of all the shafts and is mid range in weight. gnerally younger playersmay use them since they ar cheap and at that age they wontbe receivng shaft denting slashses. i wudnt sugest alumium for defense because of weight and not vey strong. carbon or composit is gerally mid range in weight and have a cmpostie rubbery grip on them. all posotions use them depending if the person wants the grip or not. other shafts are justmetal alloys that differ in weight and strength. heres a few shafts to sho you, wieght from heviest to lightest. titanium, aluminum, vanaduim/platinum/cu31 alloy/ignite, zirconium, krypto/axe/ c405 alloy/ignite supra/7075 alloy like the brine swizzle and stx crankshafts, Scandiums, Ignite Optra/krypto pro/db803/scandium air/wonderboys. shafts strongest to weakest. pretty much the opposite of the wieght thing aluminum being the weakest scandium being strong titanium being the strongest.
dpoles like: titaniums if they want pure strength though quite heavy, c405's if they like light weight
middies like: scandiums, kryptos(c405's), 7075's
attackmen like: Krypto pro, db803, wonderboys

Dpoles: very stiff/strong heads, generally a bit wider so they can intercept passes. good examples are revo 2.0, bionic, proton, mojo, motive, e3. middies. pinched like attackmens heads yet a bit stiffer then attackmens, good examples,k18, arrow, revo pro,e3, clutch, torque. attackem : very pinche heads for ball retention and accuracy, generally light, and flexy so they dont break. good examples: truth, clutch, proton power, answer, evo pro, deuce, primer, razer pro, torque.
wow i cant belive i typed all that, ur lucky im hyped up from an energy drink feel free to come back to the forum and ask any more questions u might have!

Being human beings, we all have preferances. I use a proton power for D. To most other this would seem crazy. I like the shape of it. Moral is, everyone is going to like different things soo...stock up on everything!
