The Review of the Cascade CPX Factory Custom
Durability- This is the part that I am not sure about. The liner, though this doesn't apply for me because I take care of my helmet, has a tendency to fall apart, especially the back neck part thing. That happens when you attach a bulky piece of liner to the helmet using a few small squares and expect it to stand up to lacrosse. But the other much more important thing is if the shell and other hard components are strong enough to withstand abuse. Well everything is great except the one screw that holds the facemask to the visor. The space between the screw and freedom is less than a quarter inch and as a result, any hard hit to the facemask in the wrong direction will cause it to break free and then the helmet is rather useless, but that is if there is enough abuse dished out, i mean serious abuse. 8/10
Comfort- Its comfortable. I view it as perfect. 10/10
Practicality- The view is natural and instinctive. Well made facecage that looks wonderful. 10/10
Looks- It has an extremely aggressive look. It is in matter of fact the helmet that has revolutionized our perception of a well styled helmet. The Viking helmet badly copies it, and other companies are trying to compete with it. It is simply beautiful. 10/10
Conclusion- It's almost perfect except that Cascade sacrificed quality for looks. However, WHEN you have your helmet, people will know it's all business, unless you disprove them by acting gay. And if you don't do something gay to void the warranty, you can just send it back to get a new one if the thing breaks. Anyways, I rate it a 9.7 out of 10.0.
