i dont know much about the other stuff so i wont give you bad advice and say something, but i do know that its ok if you get a cheap shaft, but it could break pretty easy. I started out with the stx av8 series shaft, you might want to look at that. its one of the cheaest but it wasnt half bad as far as duribility goes.

in my opinion, i would start with an AV8 and an AL6000 or ripper or something. If you don't like the pinch, you always could just pinch it and use a tutorial and string it up real nice.
