Is there a regulation regarding the length of a goalie's stick?
I noticed some guys like using the attack stick length or custom cut their shafts.
But somewhere, I think when my son went on college visits, one of the coaches said his stick was barely regulation length. Which could lead to a penalty if a nit-picky official should measure.
A shaft can be as short as an attack shaft or as long as a D-pole. It can also be somewhere in between.

If you buy a goalie shaft, they're usually 40", but some people like them to be 30" or to have A/M shafts.
I use an attack shaft cuz I'm short and it's easier for me.
At a goalie camp I went too. We were playing full-field games and people were using defense sticks.

I have seen an Abyss/Goalmaster stuck on a dpole. It was hilarious. But it was not used in a game. It was a stick my league had and I was walking around with it. I usually use a 40" shaft. It feels the most comfortable.
i have only seen it as a joke, if you could have it that big, there would be no reason to it and it would be a disatvantage, i think 40 in would be the longest practical length of a shaft.
