Remember, it is all prefrence. Some people may like what I use and some people may hate it.

Personally, I love 10D mesh. It is very easy to string in an Eclipse and makes a great pocket. 12D and 17D are also popular meshes. For a shaft, the DB803 is widely used among tenders. It is light and strong. I use a Warrior Kryptolyte. It is very light on an Eclipse and does not break. I have used it for 2 seasons in box and field and it has held up nicely.

12d mesh is pretty good ive been using 12d for about 2 years and i love it. Like Dadabhoy said the 803 is used by a lot of goalies. I have two and i really like them because of how light they are, but they can get dented pretty easily on checks to the shaft. Ive used mine for about a season it has a few ok sized dents.

I would say go with 12 d. It allows you to have a sick and big pocket. I have a kryptolyte and i like it. The only problem with that is you dont get the best grip with it in your hands Its kind of smooth. But you can always get tape.

Good Luck

The db803 is a great shaft I used it for 2 seasons and it never let me down. Just dont hit it on the pipes to hard or it will crack (Trust me)
