Remember to always step to the ball. If you do get hurt, it will take the sting away. I know during my games, I really don't feel the ball a lot. You will get an adrenaline rush which will also help. Let us know how your game went! Good luck!

just dont worry about it the sting goes away. to not be so afraid of the ball you could wear shin guards or padded shorts by warrior.

What is it about those shorts from warrior. Are They good?? Do they help protect your thighs?? How do they fit?? Below Shorts?? Noticeable?? Any and all info you could give me on them would be great. Be very descriptive!!! (LOL!!! but seriously) Thanks a lot let me know.

i tried em and hated em, the waist is WAY TOOO TIGHT, ihad to buy 2 sizes larger cus it was so tight and it rode up real high too (the one that i tried on that were my size) almost to my belly button, and they didnt stop any pain... at least not for me, but what u could do is try em, build ur confidence and then ditch em and see if there is a difference

just remember getting hit sucks, but giving up a goal sucks 100x worse......and take pride in the pain....also always keep your head up no matter the result, every goalie has had games where the ball looks like the moon and other games when it looks like a thimble....the idea is to work on getting as many good days as possible and good luck with your first year in the cage.

oh and i would eventually throughout the season ditch some of the lower body protection as you get more comfortable with getting hit, i mean what is the point of playing well if you dont look good am i right or am i right.
