To tell you the truth, I wore football pants in grade 9+10. Same with shin guards. If they make you a more confident goalie, then by all means go ahead. Many goalies do not wear them. Some players will laugh at you but if you are confident and make the saves, then they will pretty much shut up. Wearing them will also hinder your movement. When I took them off, I was able to move more freely and make a more variety of saves.

How are those Warrior padded pants. I hate getting shot at in the thigh and was thinking of buying them. Will they go down past shorts? Let me know.
Thanks

Well i think they are great because they allow you take alot more shots off the thigh and they will go past your shorts. you can wear them over or under i would wear them under.

Thanks for the info could I possibly cut the end of the pants so they dont go past my shorts, or is there padding there?? I would where them if they dont go past my shorts. I'm not really embarrassed by wearing them but it would look weird having something coming past my shorts line.

What kind of shinguards do you wear the baseball catcher kind?? If so, why dont you buy some soccer thin and light soccer shinguards, not the hard plastic. The soft ones give protection, ( I know because i play soccer) and cant be noticed that much if you wear high socks over the soft shinguards.

Your welcome. I do wear soccer shin guards and that allows me not be afraid of the ball at all.You could cut it but if you wear sweat pants just dont worry about it.
