im a first year goalie and i play in a rec league i used to be defense.
i dont know anything abot getting a goalie stick or what kind but my team stick succks what kind of stick shold i get

A stick is always prefrence. Many goalies swear by an Eclipse, Nemesis, and Eraser. Others have sworn by a Goalmaster or Abyss. As a beginner, I would go for an Abyss or on a DB803. If you plan on playing for a long time, I would go for an Eclipse on a DB803. I used both (different shafts though). At one point, my Abyss was my started. Go to a local lax shop and see which one feels better.
