Default Equipment...

Ok so my school let me borrow some goalie gear and its all too small or just so crapy i want to tear it to shreds. I am going to buy myself my own stuff but I want to get good stuff. Heres what I plan to buy.
Head: Nemesis? (do you guys think Nemesis or Eclipse or Eraser Ive heard good stuff about all of them)
Shaft:Krypto Pro? (do you think the db803 is better?)
Gloves: Super Freaks
CP: Warrior MLL Chest Pad 7.0 (or the eraser cp what do you guys think/ has anyone ever used a warrior cp)
Helmet: Cascade CPX (have you ever heard anything about this one I like the one size thing)
Oh and I am a new goalie this is my first year...

Welcome to the forums! Its great to see another poster as well as a goalie!

The Nemmy is a great head. Many goalies use it. All the heads you mentioned are really popular. There are a few differences which may effect which one you choose. The Nemmy is stiffer, heavier, and offset. The Eclipse is much more lighter, has a slightly larger surface and is onset. The Eraser is the newest one and I have not had the opprotunity to try it out. But from the things I have heard, it is really good and measures up to the Eclipse.

I have used the Kryptolyte and I loved it. It was really light and had a good feel to it. Many people use the DB803. It is sturdy and light. I would go for the DB803 just because it is cheaper and works well for many people.

Good choice on the Super Freaks. They are a very trusted glove. Will you be getting the goalie version or the field version?

I have a Warrior CP and I love it. This is the one I use. It is really light and flexible. It does not get snagged while making saves. The only problem that I see with the Warrior one you mentioned is the shoulder guards. I know they can get in the way while making saves. The Eraser is a great CP. I would definitely get one if I was in the market for one.

Good luck on your selections and good luck on your first year as a goalie! Keep us updated.

Both are good. Each gives a different feel. 12D has a bit more hold than hard mesh. I would get hard mesh if I was going to be making quick passes out. If you like cradling around and making fakes, then go for 12D.
