Default Shoes - Turf and grass

Now that I got my gloves (Superfreaks II), chest protector (Brine Eraser) and helmet (Brine Triumph), I need to move on to the shoes. What cleats and non-cleats do you wear and why.

I know I want mid-hi, helps with those ankle shots. We have the luxury of playing on my high school's well-kept grass field but we've played against schools that have astro turf .

Help a fellow goalie out.

I used low cut cleats last year. They were some random brand that I found for cheap. The year before that, I wore some really gooc running shoes.

After playing on grass, turf, and the "carpet" turf, I found I played best with shoes.

If you are planning on getting cleats, most people used Under Armour cleats. But it is totaly up to you.

So do you think cleats for goalies are not all that necessary?

It all depends on the person. I played better with running shoes on both on turf and grass. I know some people like cleats. Try both out if possible.

New balance is a good company along with warrior. they have good turf and grass cleats. I go with them rather than under armour since new balance knows more about shoes and i hve had good experience with them in the past.
