Hi,

I am a female goalie in a University league in England. I have only played two matches as goalkeeper and am still really unsure about the rules. Would someone please be able to tell me all the rules that are specific to us? Also I saw a video of a goalie checking an attackers stick, can I do this or is this a major foul? Any help, tips or tricks would be really useful!

If you are playing the womens game, I doubt you can check the attacker. I know there is no contact on player. If you are playing the mens game, then yes you can come out and check a player as long as he is withing range of the ball or has the ball.

You could PM Goalie9 as she may be able to help if she still comes on. Or if that does not work, you can ask your coach or a ref.
