Default What technique do you guys use?

Goalie as we all know is the best position on the lax field because there are so many different techniques to use.

What technique do you guys (or gils) use?

I prefer my hands in front of me with my elbows in front of my chest with the top of my lacrosse head matching the top of my helmet. I like having my top hand right at the bottom of the head with my bottom hand maybe 6 inches down from my top hand, which i am also told is pretty close together. i also drop to one or two on bounce shots about 50% of the time. I also regularly leave the crease on clears and run past the restriction line 9 out of 10 clears.

Post your techniques so we can get some different ideas because we are all goalies of the same sport, why not share what we love.

Stance:

Feet shoulder width apart. I stay on my tippy toes so I can always react fast. I have my hands out in front of me with my arms slightly bent. Top hand is 1cm away from the throat and my bottom hand is about a foot apart. My thumbs are about eye level when I play in the stance.

I do not like to wander out of me crease a lot. I will usually stay in the crease and try to hit one of my streaking middies. Or I just circle back and if no one is open, just hold on to it or just throw it down and hope one of my players pick it up. I probably have only ran past half once in my 2 years of proper field lacrosse career. I have probably only gotten to the restraining line mabey 4 or 5 times in my career.

Im almost just like Dadabhoy I know I have only played for only a year but I do not dare to go past half field and only in indoor do I go to the restraining line but as for the stance I have my top hand right at the bottom of the head and my bottom hand at the middle of my shaft (note: my shaft is only 30 inches long)
feet shoulder length apart and arms slightly bent and stick perfectly vertical (as to not take away surface area.) And my hands to the left of my body about the middle of my ribs.

You can change your arc styles in a game by reading the shooters-are they shooting fast or sloppy or too early, and are they experienced and smart attackers?

Go change arcs as well as baiting techniques on one on ones to help gain the edge.

I like to come out alot. I usually "cheap" the ball downfield to my attack. But I can hit them accurate so I dont really know if thats considered a cheap. I like to have my knees bent and stay on my toes. Stick to the right of my helmet and perpendicular to the ground.

Default stance

what I do which may be different to you guys but I keep my legs shoulder wide and hold the stick with both hands in the middle( for me I think it gives me a better reaction)
