Default Can you shoot faster with a Dpole or shotie

I've heard so many different things that some people shoot faster with dpoles then shorties. Personally I shoot faster with a shortie but id like to see what most people are like.

Shortie, at least at my age.

I actually use a d-pole for my game stick, but I am not strong enough to get the same power and response with the much longer stick as I do with the shortie.

i believeyou get a faster shot with a longpole since there is more force/weight that is goingto propel the ball. that is another reason you you can throw the ball much farther with a d pole

Throwing distance is different than speed. I agree that there is more force, but you have to be able to harnass it, and I do not believe anyone at the ages of 12-14 is strong enough too. The reason you can throw farther is because you take your time throwing distance, and you can actually use the d-pole to your advantage. With a shot, you are generally trying to just get it off, and do it quick. You can't tell me that you get quicker response with long stick than with a shortie.

phisically (sp.?) a dpole shoots harder, but you have to be able to control.
Most people can shoot harder with a shortie cause they cant control the longpole

i only know of one dmid who can control the dpole enough to get a shot near a decent short stick-in terms of speed.
i think he had more goals then some shortstick middies last season(kinda sad..)
