I have one that I bring to games cause say my mesh rips or more likely I rip a sidewall or topstring I can just grab one form the bench. Sam happens if your bottom string or a shooter "unties its seld"
its nice not to have to redo it.

the purpose of 2 sticks has been said
the trick is making the two sticks throw and shoot identical(usually done by having teh same head on both).

if you Cant make two sticks throw/hold/shoot similar..then just use one.

i have two eclipses strung exactly the same b/c when some one rips a real hard shot, sometimes the bottom string rips or comes through. Also, one time the mesh in one ripped.

i have 2 sticks. usually i take the face offs on my team when other lines are out and i use my banged up proton head and stx's pro shaft 3000 (yea the one that every noobie has cuz its 20 bucks) since its wide and durable and then when i am playing and have to score and cradel i use my evo head with my split shaft so yea 2 sticks. and the other day i broke a raz'r pro on a face off so i was lucky i had a back up.
