Default Do you view your team goalie as any good?

I view myself as rather good, but I can be better.

are goalie is very good probably the second best in the league and he runs up the field sometimes. the only downside is that he is small

well the only reason my goalie is a goalie is cause we didn't have one so he decided to be the goalie, and he isn't very good.

i hate to bash our goalie because with out him we would lose everygame, but he is pretty bad. He closes his eyes when people wind up on him, he doest protect the 5 hole, and is just all around terrible.

yea most of the time the goalies become a little flinchy, but while you might make fun of them, it's better to be nice to them and try to work it out because, from experience, you start getting better as a goalie if you have confidence. I would have to say that the reason why most flinch or screw up is because they don't get a proper warm up at the beginning. The goalie needs to be taken out ahead of practice and pass around a little at first, and then start the warm up. And when, during the warm up, they stop it, say nice job, and if they mess up, tell them what they should have done once and let them try to do it. The reason you should be nice is the fact that these "bad" goalies are still brave enough to be hit with hard shots. Now remember when warming up, do not shoot a shot that takes five seconds to get ready. That's not realistic and can hurt the goalie severely when it's unneeded. Try to get an attackman to start the warm up. Then try something more complex, like putting a midfielder in there with the attackman so they have the possibility of outside shots and inside shots. And to help, put in a dman or defensive middie, and tell the goalie to give him orders. This will make it the most realistic for the goalie, as he will have control, and will learn to cover his weaknesses. Also encourage your goalie to play wallball very close up. Instead of normally playing it, tell him to use goalie reflexes and stances. That's how you make a goalie better. And also, if the goalie is getting hurt in certain areas to much, which may be the cause of the flinching, tell him to get padding for that area. Basically just be nice to your goalie.

my goalie is good he has been playing since 4th or 5th grade because the other 2 goalies sucked 1 quit lax the other one plays middi now i play back up but im short so that sucks when i get in but the good part about being back up is that i play against succy teams witch make me seem better

NO WAY my goales are ok but one is beter than the other they only saved a few balls. They said that it is SO HARD TO BE A GOAL KEEPER but it dosent look that hard in middle school the only reasson we won because D is really good but goal keepers are not all that great at my school. I hope they are better in highschool
