Default New to Lacrosse

hey guys i'm new to lacrosse.

I got tryouts starting monday the 17th (freshmen).

I am excellent at cradling, shooting, passing with my right hand (dominant).

I can't seem to catch that well with my left hand, but i can cradle/shoot ok with it.

you guys got any tips? I got only 1 week to train on this before tryouts, so please help me out.

i'm guessing i just gotta do like an hour a day of wall-ball to get it down, right?

You answered your own question. Wall-ball. It's not going to magically get bettter, you gotta practice w/ it. Also, besides wallball, whenever you carry your stick around, keep it in your left hand, so you get more comfortable with it.

When you go on a run, cradle your stick with a ball in it. Swtich ever half mile or so. That helps alot. Wall Ball, like mentioned above, is amazing. Shot with your left, then catch the same shot with your right. Helps alot with control and your cordination with your stick. Hope you have a great season. Lacrosse is the best sport ever.

do about 100 reps of left handed wall ball then do about 50 right, then another 100 left. That will build up your arm strength and give both hands repitiions
