Okay I have way too many questions and am well too lazy to search at this time. If somebody or everybody could answer my questions which have no doubt been answered a few times before now. I was watching Lacrosse on TV and was throughly impressed at how physical the sport is. I would have never thought it was really that brutal. I play Ice hockey and was surprised. I wanna get in on this fun

1. Can any of the equipment from Ice Hockey be used in Lacrosse?
2. How does equiment fit? I mean I wear a 13" or 14" hockey glove, depending on the brand. Does this size mean the same for Lacrosse?
3. If I was to start playing what equipment would I need to start?
4. Are there any leagues in Omaha Nebraska?

I am sure that like Hockey there are a few people in here who know it all and are comedians and love to razz the FNG, but please help me out. I am truly interested in the sport and would to know how to get this going.

1. Yes but most people choose to wear more slimmed down gear but what you have is just fine.
2. 13's will most likely fit you the best but try on a pair if you can.
3. Your going to have to have a Helmet,gloves,shoulder-pads, armguards, mouthguard and a stick.
4. Im pretty sure they have some leagues. Mark lives in NB I think...

Hope I helped out a little bit. Hope you join lax and spread the word on its greatness!

1. pretty much everthing can be used except a hockey stick
2. Lacrosse gloves only go to 13" but the sizing is slightly different.13" will fit you fine. but if you do have big hands and 13's dont fit brine gloves tend to run a bit big/loose while warrior and stx tend to make tight fiting gloves.
3. The first thing i would replaxce wuld be either gloves or amrguards. hokcey ones tend to be stiff and hard/protective while lacrosse stuff is much more flexible.
the lassst thing i would replace would be your shoulders pads. while there are a bit bulkyier they are the most similiar thing to lax pads. and if you choose to wear rib pads dont buy the hard plastic kidney/back pads. they tend to be uncomfortable to run with. get flexible regular rib pads like the brine elements or warrior mpg's. for a stick i would probably recomend shaft- stx vanadium/warrior platinum both light, durable, and reasonably priced. as for a head i would get a warrior mojo or brine cyber. to buy these things check out lax.com some of the reviews that are there are completely retarted and make no sense but some will be helpful. also lashopper.com has review of lax gear.

Also, will you be playing field or box? I am assuming you will be playing field. Also, what position?
