The Duke rape charges have been dropped!!!!!!!!

Finally that idiot Nifong did something right.
The sexual assault and kidnapping charges still remain.
They should be dropped eventually as well.

Its a bad situation for those accused. People will always look at those young guys and wonder if they committed the crime.

agreed, people may look at them similar to OJ Simpson and think, he probably did it. I'm not saying OJ was innocent because he wasnt and the Duke guys are, but they will always be looked upon like that.

The Duke lacrosse frame/hoax is STILL going on. The three accused are STILL facing 30-year prison terms. The two special prosecutors assigned to the case are known as
cronies of the Durham/NC political machine; in the eyes of many they may be focusing on some way to still get some kind of convictions, instead of a search for justice.

(Think not? They did just that in the Gell case.)

Convictions would save the state a great deal in financial and political liability.
