i actually played goalie for a summer league and i wore shin guards, im no pansie but it gave be a bit more confident to throw my leg out for a save. i also wore goalie shorts, i had no fear of stoppin it with my body sooo. this kid on another team got all pink equipment even though his team colors were green and gold, i wanted to lay that kid out soo bad, to bad he was attack.
