Question Advice for the Future

So basically I need advice on a huge change that I might make, and I figure here's the best place to inquire since you're all experienced lacrosse players.. so any advice would really be appreciated.

I used to be 5'11 and about 260lbs or so of just fat. I was a football player for two years during that time and I was starting to lose interest rapidly and decided to play Goalie in lacrosse since that was all I could physically do since it IS the fastest game on two feet.

Over the years I got pretty damn decent, and had JV All State honors the second year playing with 30 saves in a game (that was my peak, lol) but through the years, I can't say I'm skilled enough to save most of my shots with my stick, rather they tend to hit off my shins, arms, etc when I take my steps. I finished off this year, my fourth year, with a broken pinky and thumb, and a fractured middle finger. I had a good season but it sucks getting hit all the time and I don't think I'm THAT good at all.

Now I'm 6'2 190, I bench 225, I'm not THAT fast but I'm really good at getting around people and my stick skills aren't bad. And quite honestly, as of late, I've had a BURNING desire to play attack.. and being a goalie, facing their shots for four years, I think I'd have an edge in knowing where to put the ball, etc.

I'm more than willing to run everyday, do sprints, get my speed as high as it can go, continue lifting, working on stick skills, and shooting until it hurts if that's what it takes.. but it could be a bit late in the game to get good at Attack in the clutch.

What do you guys think? Stick with goalie or make the change?
