SAINT PAUL/MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The National Lacrosse League (NLL) announced today that Minnesota Swarm forward Craig Point has been named Rookie of the Week for the second consecutive week, and the third time this season. The 21-year-old right-hander recorded 12 points (5-7=12) and 10 loose balls to help the Swarm win a pair of home games last weekend and improve its record to 6-0. Point scored one goal and two assists in the Swarm's 16-9 win over New York on Friday and led the team with nine points on four goals and five assists in the Swarm's 14-13 overtime win over Portland on Sunday. He currently leads all rookies in goals (13) and points (33).
The Weekly Player Awards are determined by a vote of the General Managers and Head Coaches of the league's 12 member clubs.
