Greensboro, NC -- Gregg Gebhard, the Greensboro College head women's lacrosse coach since 2004, has resigned his position. He has accepted the lead assistant women's lacrosse coach post at Bucknell University, an NCAA Division I institution and member of the Patriot League.
Gebhard led the 2007 Pride team to a 10-7 record and to the USA South championship game. Under his direction, GC won two USA South regular season championships and one conference tournament title. During his four years leading The Pride, Gebhard directed 31 all-conference players, four CoSIDA regional academic team picks, two all-region honorees, and three North-South All-Stars. He also coached the 2004 and 2007 USA South rookies of the year
"Gregg did an outstanding job at Greensboro College," said GC Athletics Director Kim Strable. "He has kept the program at the top of the USA South Conference and into a formidable regional competitor. He also did an outstanding job with numerous ancillary roles with the College. We wish him well in his move to the top level of collegiate lacrosse."
