Well, you all know that my main head is a g-force…right? Oh, you don’t? Well in that case let me tell you all about it. The G-force is my favorite head I have ever used. Want me to tell you why? Sure you do.
Most people find the G-force as an ugly, crappy, gimmicky head…I will stab them in the jaw…meet me in the lobby later, ill be the guy stabbing jaws, there aren’t many of us. I love the head.
Let’s start out with the most important part of a head…Looks! Just kidding. The head is sort of ugly, but I have grown accustomed to the way it looks, and now find it quite attractive. I like how the white and black contrast. It also looks pretty hot with neon green 7d, If I do say so myself. The sidewall is designed for strength…not looks. It consists of 2 almost vertical bars, with 2 horizontal bars connecting the first one to the neck. Same deal with the neck area. Strong, not pretty. In a few places it has the word (or words) G-force on it, and I like that…I’m not sure why, but I do.
Next up, strength…
The G-force is one of, if not THE stiffest head I have ever owned. Most of its stiffness comes from the scoop shape, sidewall design, neck area, and pinch (face shape). Lets start with the sidewalls. The sidewall is designed for strength…not looks. It consists of 2 almost vertical bars, with 2 horizontal bars connecting the first one to the neck. Next up, the neck The neck is THE thickest neck I have ever seen on a non goalie stick, The front consists of a nearly solid piece of plastic with a rectangle cut out, and a strip of plastic connects the top and bottom. It’s a “tank” if you will. The side of the neck is very similar. Now, the scoop. Unlike most STX scoops the G-force has a very thick, rounded scoop. The scoop is very stiff, and bends only ever so slightly when pressure is applied to it. Also it has 6 top string holes, for those of you “daring” stringers out there.
