that is legal but i dont see the point it will become in consistent and the ball will eventualy go through the top and it will probably have major lip


but if i was you i would redo it and have the mesh conected to the top by the leathers and then have some nylon run across and conect the rest of the mesh so you will have a nice track on it

EDIT: i didnt relize you were asking about it for faceoffs i am pretty sure it would be legal but it would be hard to throw the ball off
